    Hi All-

Just looking for some advice re: rendering to PCM/WAV or AC3 for my audio when preparing for a DVD. I have so far been using WAV.

What is/are the reason(s) for using one over the other. My projects are family histories, under 2 hrs — interviews (mono) with photos and sometimes music (buyout library cuts, 44k wav and aiff, rendered to 48k wav).

Also, re: the 44k to 48k change: is there a downside to changing the sampling rate or should I just use the template default of 44k? The reason I change it is because I read somewhere that DV is 48k and if the audio is 44k, there can be a sync problem. (though I haven’t any any problems with either 44 or 48).

    I’m using V5/DVDA2.

    TIA.

PCM is higher quality, AC-3 is a much smaller file.
Stick with the default sampling frequency.
