    Hi there,

    Is it possible at all to import AC3 files into a FC project or must I convert the files first.
    I have a lot of AC3 files and I cant be bothered converting each and every one of them.
    Can I get an AC3 plugin or something of the sort…?

    I don’t have an answer to your question. But a question for you. Sorry.. 🙂

    What do you use to convert AC3 files? Are you working with 5.1 surround AC3’s? I need to convert a AC3 surround file to 6 discreet files.

    Use this to convert AC3 to individual AIFF files.

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/mac3dec/

    FCP does not work with AC3 files…in fact it doesnt really work with ANY compressed audio format.

    Hi Bruce,

    I use a52decX

    Its quite good and you can make multiple tracks with it.
