    Hello,

    I’m curious as to weather FCP 7 can import video files that contain AC3 audio.

    I’ll need to import and make some edits and of course export. I’m wondering if anyone foresees any issues?

    Hi Mark,
    There is a free AC3 component for QT.
    I think that you can download it fro the Apple web site.
    Search “Ac3 codec MacOsX”

    I don’t think that will work even under 7.

    you can convert it with mpegstreamclip
