AC Adapter
I bought these Ikebana hard drives a 3 years back and they work pretty good. The problem is that my AC adapters have died for them and I cant contact the hard drive manufacturer for replacements. When I contact the company that makes the adapters, they say the model adapter is discontinued. Is there an AC adapter store or something I can go to for replacements or repairs? THANKS IN ADVANCE

Please post back with all the “voltage numbers” (volts, amps, watts, AC, DC, etc.) printed on it and I should be able to tell you if you should be able find a “generic” replacement.
And/or, call any local “computer shops” (the home-owned kind) and ask them about it.

Take one down to your nearest Radio Shack or consumer electronics mega store & see what they have that can match all of the specs. You probably want to find one of these ‘universal’ jobbies that will come with several different connectors & can be adjusted to voltage, impedance, etc.

Normally a good choice.
But on certain computer gear, it uses “plus” and “minus” AC for a supply, and some kind of “unique” plug to connect it to the unit…
That kind of supply is not very common at RS and Best Buy, etc.
That’s why I suggested a local computer store… they usually DO have the +/- AC types with the “odd” plugs.OTOH, IF the unit uses simply, say, 12vDC 900ma, with a relatively standard “coax” power plug, the “universal” supply would be fine.
Just depends on the unit.
