Absolute 0 rotation while still following the parent
Hey All,
I need your help writing a small expression for a project I am working on. It is basically a carousel with a series of sticks with circles at the ends of them. The sticks will be revolving around the carousel in a circular motion, the circles are parented to the sticks. The circles on the ends of the sticks have images which are parented to the circle. However, the problem is that when the circles are parented to the sticks, they are receiving the rotation of the parents and rotating the images. I would like the circles with the images on them to always have an absolute 0 rotation while still following the parent.
I am not very familiar with After Effects coding and I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.

you would just want to invert the rotation of the rectangle. So just change the name of the layer and this should work assuming you have all your anchor points set up correctly
thisComp.layer("rectangle").rotation*-1“|_ (°_0) _|”
