Activity Forums DaVinci Resolve about Unmix in the Node Graph

    Hi Yamamoto San,

If you have an EDL timeline which contains cross fades (edited dissolves) from shot to shot, you would use the Unmix Tab to see your timeline as if it were ‘Cuts only’. This can be useful for match grading directly between shots and seeing the last frame of the outgoing shot compared to the first frame of the incoming shot.

It is mentioned briefly on page 185 of the manual… “Unmix: Unmix is essentially the same as the Clip mode, however no effects such as dissolves or speed changes will be displayed. Note: the Node Graph display above the Dynamics Timeline also displays the Clip, Track, and Unmix tabs synchronized with the Dynamics Timeline.”

    Hope that helps,

    Giles

    Hi Giles

    Thanks for the reply.
Unmix EDL functions related to that, I did not notice.
Thanks to give me a straightforward explanation.
