In my Mac Pro to play with DPX clips, dropframe occurs. (about 26fps)
However, I play the RED-R3D footages, dropframe does not occurs.(Continue 30fps)
The RAID storage(FC connected Ciprico) I use with Mac which have a bitrate is 450MByte/sec.

Why do dropframe occurs in DPX?

How much RAM do you have? Can you play DPX sequences without dropping frames in other programs?

I mistook the title of the thread. I’m sorry.
The correct title is “My DPX files occures dropframes.”

My Mac Pro’s RAM is the capacity of 12GB(2GB x 6).
I have not tried other Mac yet.
I try play DPX sequences with djv-0.8.3-pre2.app.

    Thank you.

Some verifications were done referring to the last thread.

When I did not succeed by the DPX file, the DPX file made with DaVinci Resolve was used. (DPX RGB 10bit)
I made DPXs by using REDRocket today. I took the DPX files into DaVinci Resolve.
    There are no dropframes occureed.

Is the DPX files made with DaVinci Resolve special?

I’m afraid your RAID is not fast enough, then.
