about to order a 30inch for our multibridge extreme

The film we are making is grungy and dark with mostly subdued colours…most of the time,…. which do you thing would be better suited for us? When we saw the apple we were amazed with the picture qualty….pitty we cant see the dell before buying it.

I think we will go with the dell.

As a multibridge extreme / Dell flat panel owner I couldn’t be more pleased.

Between our sony 900 line sd crt and the Dell lcd we’re covered.

I would try the Dell and if you don’t like it, return it.

both the Dell and Apple screens are made by LG, not Phillips. The Dell is fantastic, and the Dell has analog HD inputs on the side of the monitor (RCA jacks), so you can take the output of an HD device (like a HDV VTR) and stick it directly into the Dell – can’t do that with the Apple.

I have never seen this “blue/green” noise in the Dell.
