I finally got my birthday wish, and my ShuttlePro II arrived today. Do any of you out there, that use it, know if new application settings for Vegas 6 and Nuendo 3 have been added? Or can I use the settings for Vegas 4 and Nuendo 2 respectively, in the newer versions of those apps.? Is it difficult to Import the new settings, I see there is a driver update at Contour’s site, is that how I import new settings? I’d love to hear from anyone who has already done this. I was hoping to actually get rid of my mouse entirely, but that seems to not be the case, is this correct? While I can assign mouse clicks to various buttons Globally, there doesn’t seem to be a way to move the mouse. I take it my computer won’t even boot, if I were to remove the mouse? It won’t see the Shuttle as a mouse will it? Thanks for any advice in this regard.

This device works great. Just download and install the latest drivers from here (does include Vegas 6 as well as well as a host of others). Latest driver version is 2.6.5

There is also Shuttle Application Setting Templates further on down the page.

If your mouse is USB, you can get a USB/PS2 converter and then plug your mouse into your mouse PS2 port (normally the green one)- all computers have one (that I know of)

    Cheers

Your computer will boot fine without a mouse – you just won’t be able to MOVE the mouse. There’s nothing wrong with leaving the mouse attached as the shuttlepro is an entirely different device designed to do different things from the mouse.

As for they Vegas 6 settings, you can also find them in the Vegas 6 installation folder.
