    Hi,
I am wondering if FCP supports the import and export to MXF. And if possible, could you recommand which plug-in is suitable. I know a couple of plug-ins support the import to MXF but, I am not sure in case of export.

One more thing. Does FCP supports the Quicktime Animation codec with realtime on the timeline?

If somebody knows above issus, give me some adivse.

    Thank you

Import from what source? P2 camera? Yes.

Export? Why would you export to MXF. AFAIK, it doesn’t, but I am curious why you would want that.

Playback…only if you have VERY fast RAIDED drives, like a SATA RAID or Fibrechannel Raid with 200MB/s read. You might a achieve realtime playback, but you will get no realtime effects.

That isn’t an editable format anyway. It is designed for transporting footage from one app to another without losing quality.

    What are you up to?

    :^)

Thank you for the information. Shane.
The reason why I ask about the MXF is to know the compatibility with On-Air server such as Omneon, 360systems, and so on….
I am wondering why only FCP doesn’t support the export to MXF….

    Thank you again
