    will there be problems if i worked on project templates using CS4, and wanted to share them with others who working on newer versions like (CS5, CS5.5, CS6, …) ?

    I haven’t seen any issues bringing my older CS4 projects into newer versions of AE.

    That being said, I believe that CS4 was the last 32-bit version of AE. As such, all of it’s effect (bundled or 3rd party) are 32-bit, and all of them had to be updated to work with the later 64-bit AE versions. So there could be potential issues there… but I have not encountered any yet.

    You can share with them, but they can’t share with you. If I recall correctly, CS5.5 or maybe CS6 was the first version of Ae that could save down, and each release since then has only offered the ability to save down one major version.
