Well I tried every trick in the book to get an aaf out of prem 2 because they do not support omfs. They reckon you can transfer an aaf into Avid, but it doesnt work. I spent 2 hours in an Avid Express Pro suite trying to import an aaf from ppro.
Basically, if you want to use Premier for broadcast and need to dub, forget it, this is why it is not used in the UK by pro facilities.

I have finally ordered a mac pro and am switching to Final Cut Pro.
I hope someone from Adobe reads this, because you have effectively lost

Although I agree with you on that issue, I will play the Devil’s advocate. Since OMF is an Avid component, why not also complain to Avid as well that they don’t support Premiere’s export component?

To add to Vincent, AAF was supposed to be the new industry standard, Avid was part of the consortium that developed it, the question is why are they dragging their feet.
