    HI
Is anyone using AAF or MXF files as a preference to OMF 1 or 2 yet.
If so which video platforms output AAF / MXF and what are the real
    benefits?

I don’t use OMFs much any more unless it’s strickly an Avid>Pro Tools transfer. I do use XML filetypes with Final Cut Pro and MXF files which are generated by the Panasonic P2 cameras. The benefits of both are that they comtain more metadata and will hopefully be implemented by a large group of manufacturers (I guess we’ll see at NAB).

I’m not sure about AAFs – although I see so many different filetypes I’m not sure what some of them are.
