I am getting feed back from protools users that metadata relating to a description of each track in the audio is being lost when an aaf is opened in protools
The aaf I am producing is a “copy all to folder”, and my avid media is PCM mxf

    This post
    https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=358630
explains that after the wavforms have been built in protools the metata in the track is removed.

So far I have found that if when I export an aaf , and if i choose to “convert to wav” the metadata remains in protools.
This moves me from .mxf to .wav in an omf folder which I can live with but…

I like to use the “copy all media” option on export.
If I combine this with “convert to wav” Avid does not make an aaf with all media. It seems during the convert to wav process it just chops off the media at the cut point.
So I have found that if I add in the “consolation” option then I can get it out with handles (max is 1440 frames).

Has anyone had the same problem?
Has anyone found a fix to this?

    I am on MC 8.4
