    Hello

I Try import an aaf with red clips into my DaVinci Resolve (8.2) System.

The Clips are visible in the Media Pool, have a valid source… also they are visible in my Master Timeline (Session)

But when i import the aaf, or instead an edl the timeline gets the cut but stays black.

There is no red cross, also there is no conflict, or something else…
When i import an alternative aaf with additional red Footage, everything is fine, the timeline is just much shorter.

Can you help me what the problem could be?

    Thanks

    Ben

Have you tried “ignore extension” setting? Also, were the original R3D files in Avid accessed via AMA or transcoded beforehand in Resolve or REDCINE X?

    Hi Ben,

Try to UNTICK the “Assist using reel numbers from the:” at the CONFIG page

Then on your timeline try to re-conform again, right click on the timeline and there’s an option there.

Happens to me a few times.

    I hope that helps
