    Hi all,

we are in big trouble opening aaf Files from Avid Medicomposer 6.0 in Resolve 9.0.
Nearly 90% of the shots are not recognized. The AAF is exported with no media inside.
The following message appears after trying to link to the imported Alexa QT ProRes 4444 Files.
“Non-File SourceMob is detected and ignored”.

EDL Conform of the same Sequence works fine.

Has anybody expirience with this issue.
I also tried this aaf in Scratch which worked fine.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best Regards.

    Hello there,
You need to commit all multi-cam edits in AVID before you export the AAF.

How is Resolve set up for reading your Reel IDs?
    What is your source footage?

Thanks Craig, for oyur quick response.
The Footage is Alexa Log-C and the Reel ID will be taken from the embedded one in the Source Clip. I will check if the Multi Cams are committed.

    Thanks

    Hi Rohit hi Craig,

the aaf is working now. The editorial did not commit the multicams and I forgot to check this. Thanks Craig. Rohit i will send the aaf to the davinci support. It´s conforming but has a lot of error messages as mentioned before. “Non-File SourceMob is detected and ignored”.

It will be interessting to hear what this is saying us.

    Thanks for your help.

    With best regards
    Swen

DaVinci won’t read all the AVID effects. That is probably why you are getting the error messages.
