March 16, 2012 at 12:13 amThat is no longer the case and hasn’t been the case for at least 6 months. As of version 8.1 (Resolve is now at 8.2) Avid MXF support is included in the base product, as well as the free Lite version.

March 17, 2012 at 8:31 pmThe recently released version of Sorenson squeeze 8 Pro can do just this. it can create the properly formatted avid DNxHD.MXF files that you can drop right into the avid media files folder.
I wrote a blog post about this very thing just the other day.

March 18, 2012 at 2:13 am[David Glasgal] “I want to take a bunch of quicktime footage (from HVX, 7D, GoPro, etc) and transcode it to Avid DNxHD 175x. The problem is I don’t have an avid available.”
David! How’s it going, man? Long time, no see. Scot’s suggestion sounds pretty good to me. But you guys do have an Avid over there, right? Just don’t want to tie it up with transcoding?
