I currently know how to have an unparented layer get global properties of a layer inside of a parent-child chain. It’ll get scale, rotation, and whatnot. However, is there a way to have that same thing happen but in relation to a comp that’s nested? I know I can just pickwhip it, but I want it to even include the transformations applied to that nested comp. Crazy? Is it possible?

I basically need to animate something using all the tools of AE, but for exporting purposes, need a comp of just unparented layers that follow animated layers.

    Thanks a bunch!

PS: I currently rig it in a way so that the expression looks at the unparented layer’s name to get the name of the animated layer. (i.e. Foot_2-follow supposed to mimic the Foot_2 layer inside of a nested comp).
