a waving flag question
hi
i’m try to wave my flag in the wind
i took a flag and effact him with displacment map
it give me the shape of the wind
but i missing the shadow(and highlight)in the flag
to make it look naturalthanks

Displacement map will only translate your pixels according to the map, without any effect to the pixel color.
I’d recommend Zaxwerks 3D Flag for the job. -

Have you tried using duplicates of your displacement map with varying blending modes as highlights and shadows?
