    Hi Community,

A friend of mine recorded a podcast recently and it turned out like this (just a 13s sample): https://youtu.be/ru83CHtKGNQ

I’ve tried various methods to eliminate what -could- be repeated frames… ie Premiere Pro’s Interpret Footage, ffmpeg, handbrake conversion from VBR to CBR, Shutter Encoder…

Nothing is having an effect. It’s possible that either his equipment was overheating during record or his capture software’s buffer dropped/repeated frames during capture.

Do any of you have any ideas how to fix this? Any advice is appreciated.

    Hey David,

Would be good to know what camera(s) was used, and how the audio was recorded.
Could be a reference (sync) issue.

Also, have you checked whether the two camera sources are running on the same frame-rate?

    Hey Man,

    Sorry for the late reply.

The equipment used is as follows:

    Sound: Rode rodecaster pro 2

Cameras: Sony fx3 and Sony A7

Computer: Mac Mini (I’m thinking this might be the culprit, these can struggle with live recording/OBS at high quality)

    Recording software: OBS

    Both cameras record at 30fps
