a simple question for after effects…
hey there… i am feeling odd but i am not able to find answer for a simple question.. i.e.
hey there… i m a newbie to after fx..
i have a avi clip of about 5 mins. and i want only about 2 mins from this video. 4 sections of 30 secs each.. how do i break the movie to get only the parts i want…
i know its ctrl+shift+D, but that gives me movie from 0:00 till current time. e.g. i want say from 00:32 secs to 00:55 secs.
so pls let me know how do i go about it… thank u soo much..
2nd question… i add sound in my timeline below my video clip… but when i scrtub the slider , i dont hear any sound, i only get sound after making RAM preview… i wanna sync my video to sound.. so i guess having sound while scrubbing slider would help… any help would be appreciated..
I am posting this question again as i posted it in the wrong forum earlier..

1. you need to create in and out points of your video layer. to do this, go to your in point and hit CNTRL open bracket (close bracket to create out point) (by memory) – or just drag the beginning of the layer – the little gray bit.
2. You can scrub your audio but you need to hold CNTRL while you scrub.
