  • A Series of Stills..Trick to adjusting lengths all at once?

Seems silly… I’ve always done this by hand, but there must be a faster way to adjust the lengths of a series of stills…
Example: The default length for a still image is 10sec. I have 50 stills, I need each at 10 frames length each.

You can change the default length that stills import at in your user preferences (alt+Q). Set it to be however long you want them, then just reimport.

OK I can see that. .. but not in these situations, where piles of different stills need to be custom adjusted.
    Thanks for the input Michael!

IF you’re in FCP 7 and you’re trying to do what I think you’re doing…
    – Select all the stills.
    – Right-Click
    – Select ‘Duration’
    – Enter the desired new duration.

Note: I think it requires them all to be the same duration to begin with. And…
Altering the duration of a clip/some clips this way can push later clips down in the timeline.
I usually do this to clips (stills) in a sequence of their own, or cut/paste them to the end of the Timeline, make the adjustment, then cut/paste them back where I want them.

    Hope this helps.

    Neil.
