    So, I’m here now. πŸ™‚

Got fed up with Magix and the update policies. They now only allow 1 year of updates for your current version, then they charge for them, even if they are only bug fixes.

So I thought, let’s see what all the interest over Resolve is about.

Well . . . once I started getting a grasp of the program I also started kicking myself for having spent $250 in 2020 to upgrade from Vegas Edit to Vegas POST.πŸ˜‘πŸ˜œ

I can see where I would have been better off spending the money on Resolve.
For my brain, Resolve’s layout with the separate windows based on function make so much more sense, as do many other things in the layout.

When I saw the use of nodes, I had to chuckle as I’ve picked 3D up after a very long hiatus, and am having to learn how to use them in Blender.

But then, having node based functions in both will be easier on the brain in one way too.

Have been very pleased with the quality of the free tutorials out there too.

I even switched on a project I’m half way through for my job. No deadline for it, so switching isn’t an issue, but I just like Resolve’s layout that much better.

Now just have to get my NEAT plugin license switched from Vegas to Resolve.

Still shocked at what is available for free. Figure I’ll get up to speed on all of the functions over the next couple months before buying the full blown license. But buying the license is a definite yes.
