I am editing a few HD JPEG sequences, and the render for preview is very slow.
Is there a way to configure a lower resolution render that is quicker, like in After Effects?

    Thanks, Y.

You can change the sequence render settings codec, but that’s about it.
No half or third res like After effects.

That can be changed under Sequence > sequence settings > Video preview.

Uncompressed would likely be the fastest encode, but that means you will also need a RAID system. Different formats will be available depending on your sequence settings.

Buying and installing a Matrox card would be your biggest help. It’s amazing how many people go with CS3 or CS4, yet without a Matrox card. I personally have the Matrox AXIO card, and I seldom have to render.
