So,if you read my last thread you’d know the effect I’m trying to achieve here. Outline draw in, blue man fade in.

I ended up using the stroke effect after creating a mask using the pen tool.

    Here’s a rough draft:

So here’s some issues I’m having:

    1. I’d like to toss that original ouline layer so that you just see the animated stroke. I tried copying the mask onto a different layer but it’s smaller in scale when I paste them to a new layer for some reason.

    2. I’d like the stroke to start at his left knee cap. As of now it starts at the top of his head. Is there a way to change this starting point?

    Thanks.

Oh, and I didn’t see an “edit post” feature. Does this forum have that?

Also, can you “bump” threads so you don’t have to create a new one?

    1. you should be able to just duplicate the layer with the mask, then change your stroke effect to ‘on transparent’ for the paint style. this will lose the layer’s image, showng only the stroke. turn stroke off on the previous layer.

    2. you can set the start point of a closed mask by selecting a point on the mask, then layer>mask>set firrst vertex.

i don’t know how to bump a previous thread, but you could link to the previous thread.
