    Hi there,

Sorry for posting this here but it’s the closest thing that I can find here at the COW.

I have a Panasonic PV-GS180 and when I shoot the footage it looks clear and sharp when it’s on the camera, but when I transfer it to my computer, it looks blurry and not sharp by any means. Then, when I import it into After Effects, it only worsens the picture. Is it possible that it’s the program I use to import it (Windows Movie Maker), and if so, could you recommend another transfer program that would be better? Could it be my capture card? This has been baffling me for quite some time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

    Jamie

yeah in movie maker make sure you select video size NTSC 720×480. most people select small file size which is the reason for crappy resolution. recapture it, and do what i told you then it should be fine. let us know

Hey there, I tried switching it to NTSC, but the there was no option for that, the highest it went was 640×480 on high quality video. I have been using that one and it produces the crappy resolution. I still can’t figure out why.

Do you know of any other programs that I might be able to use to import digital data? Can After Effects 6.0 Pro do this?
