For a project I want to combine wipe card with the Shatter effect in order to create a 3D texture between the two shots and they flip into each other. (I am trying to make something like the intro to CNN Heroes that was on TV this past weekend).

I want to wipe card from on shot to the other but while doing so want to rotate in 3D space and have some thickness between the two shots as it flips from one to the other.

I tried to apply shatter (using it to create a 3D shape in same manner I have used in many times to create 3D text, as seen in a Tutorial on Creativecow.net) to the wipe card , but all I get is two layers of the same video with nothing in between.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.
    thanks again

Here is something to try in Shatter…
Make sure the shatter layer is NOT 3D
    Add a camera
In the Shatter effect layers, go to the textures layer
right below it is Camera System
    select Comp Camera
move the time slider to a nice part of the shatter
now move the camera (make sure you are previewing the camera)
now your shatter is true 3D
    pretty cool, huh?
