    A few question about the work flow on editing a short movie

    Hi guys,
    I am new on Creative cow forum, and I am french so I hope my english won’t upset you.

    I have to edit a short movie. I’d like to use After Effect CS5.
    Because I have color finesse on it and I am interesting with some compositing functions.

    But for the simple Edit I am more familliar in FCP than in Premier and for me it’s a pain to switch beetween FCP and After Effect. My rushes are In prores HQ is it a good codec for working in After Effect CS5 or do I have to change.

    If I want to make the simple edit on premier and the compositing in After, Does prores is a good codec for Premier pro or do I have to change the codec?

    I hope I am understable.

    Yes, the ProRes codecs work fine in these applications.
