A fairly simple Q on SMPTE and MSP11 and Pro 13
Referencing this thread https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/30/875542 does all this really work in a simple way, whereby one could record video on some action cam (mp4), record audio (on that DR-701D recorder), with the camera being started and stopped at random times, with the recorder being started and stopped at random times, and can one then drop the video and the audio onto the timeline and have them all line up automatically?
That implies discarding any audio for which there is no video.
I ask about MSP11 and Pro 13 because I have MSP11 on a laptop (winXP, but a high-end one, very fast i7) and Pro 13 on my desktop.

I have just had an email from MAGIX saying Vegas does not support SMPTE.
