    How do I format a Dell? I’ve tried write clicking on the drive and selecting ‘format’ but it wont let me. Sorry I know this is a VERY basic question and not related to Final Cut but we use a Dell for burning and it needs flattened. Do I need to boot from the XP disc first? Thanks,

    If you are formatting the C: drive, use the XP installation disk. It gives you the option of formatting at the beginning of the Windows installation procedure.
