A counting number along a curved motion path
I’m not sure if my post went thru, as I had to sign up for the Cow while trying to send.
In a nutshell: I want to have a number count quickly up (or down) while moving along a bezier-curve motion path. The example was: 4652 counts quickly by ones up to 5398 while it slides up a “mountain” along a bezier curved path. I can make the number count with the “numbers effect,” and I can make a number slide along a path (by pasting the curve mask into the position property of a text layer), but I can’t make either one do both. Any suggestions?

Animate the source text paramter. You need a slight detour to do this.
a) Create a text layer.
b) Set all your parameters and assign the mask path.
c) Apply an Effects —> Expression Controls —> Slider
d) Alt+click the stopwatch for the source text property
e) Apply this simple expression:Math.round(thisLayer.effect(“Slider”)(“Slider”))
Animate the slider to change the value fior the text.
