  A bit OT – Quicktime playing stuttery

  Lately quicktime player on my box (2.5 Dual, OS X 10.3.9, quicktime pro 7.1.1)
  started not working very good, usually stopping (while the scrubber keeps going)
  this was both on the player and on web pages (apple site for example)
  I usually play .mov files, most of the time they’re not even uncompressed.

  now, even when I open a quicktime in AE it’s not playing smoothly !

  any idead why that happens ?
