    Hey friends,

Just wondering if anyone can clarify the bit depth confusion I’m experiencing. Perhaps I’m comparing apples to oranges here, but I’m not clear on the 8, 16, 32 bit depth of Motion with the 8 and 10 bit that more frequently is discussed with FCP, Photoshop, and AE. If this is apples to apples, why isn’t there a 10-bit option in Motion?

Thanks for any thoughts on this. My goal is simply to ingest, color time, and composite in a higher-than-8-bit depth, even though my final output is 8 bit. But the incongruity of bit depth options in the various programs has me a “bit” baffled. ha ha.

    Thanks!
    Ramsey
