Has anyone done ringtones from their FCP system? My company has a jingle and some people would like to use part of it as a ringtone. The hard part appears to be getting it to the phones. I have a FCP system with Episode installed, so I have a fair amount of file options. Just wondering what path to take.

    Any tips or tricks appreciated.

Depends on the phone and what file formats they play and then you can access your phone from your computer.

with my particular phone, I can’t drag the files onto my phone from my computer, but i can access the internet with the phone. So, I encode the ring tones as low bandwidth mp3s (if your phone can play mp3s, most modern ones can) and then I put the ring tones up on our website and then point the phone browser to that link and download the files that way and save them on the phone.

My phone (Razr) will import MP3s, no trouble at all. Hook up via USB or Bluetooth and away you go.

Right, yours will but my phone won’t. That’s why I post them to a website and then download.
