Need a more capable sound board- what would you recommend- what would you NOT recommend…

    Currently using Mackie 1202-VLZ

Need to be able to output directly to a digital deck- a router and a DVD encoder from the one board- need minimum inputs…

Please post links if at all possible

    Thanks for your opinions…

Hi – we need a bit more info here.

What source(s) are you putting into your Mackie?

If it’s an edit system does it have an AES digital output?

Do you need to go to your digital deck/router/encoder digital or analogue?

What connections do they have (balanced/unbalanced – read XLR or RCA) or are they in a machine room with patch bay?

Are you sending the same signal to all record devices? If you are you may just need to buy a distribution amplifier (DA) to put across the main output of your Mackie but this would be analogue – nothing wrong with that though.

Be as specific as possible otherwise it’s hard to be accurate with advice.

BTW Mackie make great products (that’s a Brit saying that) for the money. An idea of what you want to spend would help too.

    All the best.
