Hei…Hi…it has been a long time since I last posted here…we finished our feature on HD a few months ago and we are about to have our World Premiere on June 3rd at the Roxie Theatre @ 11:30PM in San Francisco…the festival programmers are requesting DVCam…at this point we have never output anything to tape, ‘cuz there has not been a need…our movies exists as a massive FCP project all rendered nicely in HD…what is the best way to make a DVCam tape? I can’t seem to find anything in the Decklink manual about downconverting…do I just need to export a quicktime movie in DV Codec, then output through firewire? or is there a way to output directly to firewire from the HD Timeline? They keep touting the downconversion tools with Blackmagic, but I just can’t seem to find these features…I have a DVCam deck with firewire, but it does not have SDI…what do you suggest? can anyone give me a step by step instruction on how to go from my HD Timeline to a DVCam firewire output? thanks to everyone for your help…

    …wishing the best…

    Your main options are:
1, Create DV sequence, drop in HD sequence, render, output to firewire

2, Hire DV deck with SDI input and use Blackmagic downconverter.
