8.1 patch
8.1 has a lot of known issues that Sony itself has told me they are working on. Any word on when Sony might launch a patch for 8.1?
I really enjoy Vegas and I am looking forward to their next pro installment. Does anyone know when we might see Vegas Pro 9? What new features might it have?

Sony has never given any advanced notice of patches or new versions. I agree with you that 8.1 is in sore need of a patch, if for nothing else but to bring it up to the level of 8.0c (because it’s based on 8.0b). I don’t think anyone can answer your question directly becasue the information simply isn’t available.

Exactly….Updates are rarely known prior to when they are
actually released.
Yes, 8.1 has many flaws right now, but don’t worry, in no time the
updates will be forthcoming to smooth things out as 64 bit
editing becomes more streamlined and when third party companies
start making their plugins available for the 64 bit architecture.Steve Rhoden

I am excited to see what Sony does next. I think it’s starting to make waves in the industry. I chose it at work over Final Cut Pro.
