8.0c glitch?
I just upgraded to 8.0c from 8.0b. Big problem for me: When I click on a clip in the Project Media, it no longer plays/previews in the preview window. I hear the audio, but there is no picture to see.
Is this a glitch in version c or is there some new switch I need to flick?

Its not a glitch Rick….Just check your trimmer window.
There are added preview buttons there, toggle
until you see find your solution.Steve Rhoden

Steve, I don’t use trimmer, ever.In earlier versions of Vegas, you can, in PROJECT MEDIA, click on a clip and have it play in the preview window. Now I can hear the audio, but see no video.

I did not say for you to use trimmer…..you just need to
de-select the “shoe video monitor” icon in the trimmer window or then
you can toggle to use the use of each.Steve Rhoden

Got it! I have to toggle OFF “show video monitor” in the trimmer for the clip to show in the preview windows. Still seems to me to be a glitch, but at least there’s a work-around.

No glitch. It’s been a long standing feature request to have a Source monitor. The trimmer now does that. The glitch is that the stock Vegas layout doesn’t show the trimmer, otherwise everything is by design.
