8 plex creation -picture in picture
Posted by Bob Jones on January 17, 2013 at 7:08 pmI have 8 videos I would like to place in an 8 plex. Is there an easy way to do this? Do I need to add a dummy layer on the bottom video so all can be resized? Right now the bottom layer is not letting me move it around.

January 17, 2013 at 8:00 pmYou don’t say what version of Vegas you’re using but give DaviTools VideoWall a try.
https://www.davitools.com/videowall/DownloadVw.aspx
While originally written for Pro 8 and 9, it will work in Pro 10, 11 and 12.Be advised of the following information provided by user WillemT on the Sony Vegas forum.
What appears to happen is that it gets installed in:
C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingSonyVegas Pro9.0Application ExtensionsIf you copy it to:
C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingSonyVegas ProApplication Extensions
VP12 sees it and it appears to work.
I find it does not always position the windows as per the template, or, maybe I do not properly understand it’s operation. -

January 21, 2013 at 6:04 amThanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I don’t have Pro so I can’t use plug ins. I ending up doing it by hand. Unfortunately it wasn’t perfect but for a family project it was fine. I had cell phone video with black borders to deal with so it wasn’t easy.
