8 gig give away.
I was at DV Expo yeaterday and talked to Panasonic reguarding the 16 gig cards they said they might have out by the end of the year. I was wondering if Panasonic was like apple by clearing out the old inventory with special deals and just when you buy it they release the new ones. The guy smiled and said maybe the 16 will be out at the end of the year and maybe 32’s. He didn’t confirm nor deny just smiled after he said that.
But it’s not like Apple getting rid of the old computers with $300 off the price and then new ones pop up. I am sure they will still sell the 4 and 8’s but much cheaper I would think. We’ll see.

You need not go any deeper than look at what has happened with the older series of Panasonic camera models (ie SDX-900) and the reduction in pricing prior to the release of a newer model HDX-900.
Time, newer technology and supply and demand are all linked to price reductions or increases.
If you need it now and can benefit from the savings then buy it.
