8 cm DVD-R transfer
Im trying to get an 8cm DVD-R into an avid or onto a tape..any ideas? It was shot on a Sony Handycam…I dont have the camera with me.

How about a simple DV converter via RCA analog? Will it play on a standard DVD player?

It will not play on a normal DVD player

The dvd might not have been finalized then. Those DVDs should play on most normal players if it was finalized in the camcorder. You might try tech support for the camera, and ask how to get the DVD to play on a normal player.
You could try playing the DVD in a tray-loading computer. Those kinds of cameras I avoid. Best to go with a standard, such as miniDV.
