8 Channels of audio
Hi Guys,
i am relatively new to FCP7. i have uploaded some footage that i shot on a SonyPMW 200 and i am showing 8 channels of audio (mono), some of the audio have no audio waves on them. Is this normal? and is there any way of me just having 2 channels LEFT+RIGHT) to make my project more simple and less cluttered.
Please help!!

Yes, that’s normal, if you imported the footage with all 8 channels. You can avoid this by only selecting two channels when you import. Although some cameras will only come in with all 8, even though only two are used.
Simply don’t patch the channels with no audio on the timeline…only patch in the two channels that have audio.
