8 Bit Uncompressed PAL to PAL DV
I have an 8 bit Uncompressed PAL FCP file that I would like to export to a PAL DV MOV file. The FCP settings are currently set to default 8 bit Uncompressed PAL, which sets the field dominance to upper first. I realize that PAL DV has a lower field dominance. If I simply export from the current timeline via Quicktime Conversion and select the PAL DV Codec, will I run into field shifting problems? Should I first export the project as an 8 bit Uncompressed file and then reimport it to a FCP Timeline with PAL DV settings before I export to a PAL DV MOV?
