I have 32 30-minute programs sent to me as AVI files, I’m using Mpeg Stream clip to convert and trying to decide if I should convert to 8bit uncompressed or Pro Res. These shows will be repurposed and output to DVCAM, DSR-80 with SDI, or files sent directly to client and they will author DVD’s for a direct mail continuity program.

Aside from the file size difference should I convert to 8 bit Uncompressed or Pro Res or consider other compression for best quality, I have plenty of storage space for this project?
