March 3, 2011 at 6:47 pmHere are a couple extra bits of info:
I have footage on both of my edit machines from 5D and 7D shoots.
Final cut sees them and has no trouble importing them with Log and Transfer.
the Canon plug in is visible in L&T prefs pulldown.
Final cut does not see the T2i footage, (though I am able to use compressor on these files externally)
again: that path to the prefs as detailed earlier, does not exist on my machines. is that due to OSX 10.6.6? and doing a search of entire machines does not find canon file names.
Thx,

If you look a bit farther up this thread, you will see the instructions I followed to get the T2i to work with the plug in. This is the text courtesy of Brian DeViteri:

by Brian DeViteri on Jan 25, 2011 at 7:23:13 amdownload the latest EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro Ver1.1 (ce1110x.dmg) 12/01/2010, 7.01MB
Available here, select Mac OS from dropdown:
https://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_7d#...I believe you will still need to modify the E1 plugin settings to play nice with the T2i.
Go to:
Library/Application Support/ProApps/MIO/RAD/Plugins/CanonE1.RADPLug/Contents/Resources/Open up the file in text edit:
cameras.plistDUPLICATE THIS FILE BEFORE MODIFYING!
You’ll need to add entries for the T2i/550D. Here’s what mine currently looks like (the code pasted into this message was completely messed up).
