7D shot in 1080p mixed with 720p shot on other camera
I’m editing a video in FCP that was mostly shot on a Panasonic p2 with settings 720 24pn (DVCPRO HD). I added some clips shot on a Canon 7D which were shot at 1080 24 and have been converted correctly using the plugin (converted to Prores 422 HQ). I’m fairly new to much of this so I assumed all was good.
However, when I put them both on the same timeline, the footage shot with the 7d shows at 66.67% and has an end result of looking funny when exported to a Quicktime movie. I haven’t exported the entire video, just a portion. It comes out skinny. I kind of know the answer while not really knowing the answer. It appears that I need to make another conversion on one of them, though I kind of hope not. The problem is that I’m almost finished with the edit (yes, I ignored the signs). Is there a way to make the 2 compatible and without having to go through a big ordeal?
Thanks in advance!
