75% 3/4 res view?
I’ve got a new 1600 x 1050 15.4″ lcd display to play with (on the surprisingly affordable inspiron 6000), & I was wondering about the AE preview. I’m used to virtually always working at 50% view at half res (on a 1280 x 1024 19″ crt display) & occasionally bumping up to full res to check things. This always made sense to me, in terms of system speed, & plus i liked prepping elements at that size, or at that distance, as it were. Its a bit different on a newer high resolution display though. Half res is minute! I know there’s a bit of forehead slapping obviousness to this statement. Its just i’d never really considered it before. Checking sizes with photoshop, I figured that anything between 60-70% would be ok.. Does it kaibosh AE to introduce more magnification increments? I’m thinking the anti-aliasing (based around half res) would be rougher at some magnifications, -ala photoshop- but I’m not sure that it wouldn’t be nice to have that choice..
