7.2.1 bug? Merged clips using Insert/Overwrite are not linked
Hi all-
I know that merged clips have always had some bugs in Premiere, so I’m not sure if this is one of them, or if I am just overlooking something.
I recently upgraded to 7.2.1, and while some of the issues with merged clips were resolved, some other new ones seemed to pop up.
One in particular is when I use the insert or overwrite commands (either the keyboard shortcut, or the buttons in the source window), my merged clip comes into the timeline unlinked – the video and each of the audio channels are all independent of each other. But if I drag the clip into the timeline from the source window, it comes in linked just fine. The latter isn’t entirely preferable, especially when patching certain audio channels to go to to certain tracks (among other things).
Has anyone run into a similar issue? Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!
