I’m trying to convert 720×480 to 960×540. I’m having some trouble doing it. I need to letterbox the original into the new frame (since I can afford cropping) and I can’t quite figure out how to get this done. Can anyone help me?

(PS – sorry for the double post on this – I just realized my previous subject line wasn’t specific enough.)

I guess I do mean Pillarbox. But I’m having a problem getting it to work. I’m upressing it to DVCPROHD 720p60 – but that’s 960×720 and I can get the frame pillarboxed nicely and it’s all in proportion and looks great – but if I use a custom frame size 960×540 – it all gets squeezed and I”m not sure how to get it back into proportion. Am I doing the right thing with the wrong settings – or am doing it all wrong to begin with?

Plus – I get bad jagged edges when I change the frame size.
