    I’ve been asked to do some animations. now i have sign off and they aske me to deliver .AVi DV compression 16:9 framesize 720×405. The problem is that when i export from final cut i get a frame size of 720×405. what can i do?

    Hi Andres,
    Your question is a bit difficult to understand, but I guess that you are getting your 720×405 AVI DV, but doesn’t looks 16×9 at all. Isn’t it?
    That’s because you have exported 720×405 NTSC pixels.
    You need to export 720×405 Square pixels.
    BTW, I don’t understand how you have been requested to export graphics with one of the worst available codecs for graphics. Also the size (720×405) its breaks the rules of DV encoding “405” will make that some lines in the bottom won’t be properly compressed.

    Thanks rafael for your reply. That’s the problem. I do have the sequence set up in square pixels.

    Hi Andres,
    If your sequence is 720×405 SQ pixels, when played in a computer will look 16×9.. If is interpreted as NTSC pixels, will look stretched.
